Toyota halts the sale of Lexus GX 460 after magazine report

Toyota announced earlier that it will temporarily halt sales of the Lexus GX460 2010 after the report published in Consumer Reports magazine saying that the SUV offers risk of rollover in curves. Toyota will further test the vehicle before it resume selling of its model.

The magazine Consumer Reports said there is danger of rollover in curves after identifying the problem in tests of two vehicles, although none have effectively overturned. The magazine is read of many users before deciding which vehicle to buy. The magazine assign the “Do not buy” level for this vehicle.

The manufacturer says it is planning to repeat the tests and determine what will be done and if they need to fix a problem. Toyota has already sold 5 thousand units of Lexus GX460 after the launch of vehicle in three months.
