Buenos Aires, March 30 (DPA) Argentina coach Diego Maradona needed reconstructive surgery in his upper lip Tuesday after being bitten in the face by one of his dogs, a medical statement said.

Bhubaneswar, March 30 (IANS) The state owned Orissa Mining Corporation (OMC) and Anglo-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto are negotiating a joint venture mining project in the state but it will take some more time to finalise it, officials said Tuesday.
Rio Tinto had planned a billion-dollar iron ore project in the state and had signed an agreement with the OMC in 1995. However, the project couldn't take off as both failed to agree on some key issues. (Continue reading)

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS) Bhram Pal Singh, a horse-cart driver from Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur town, claimed a private hospital here denied him treatment for lack of money, despite the Delhi High Court's direction to give free treatment to the economically weaker sections of the society. The hospital has denied the allegations.

Shimla, March 30 (IANS) The Himachal Pradesh government Tuesday ordered a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) probe into a case of suicide by an unmarried woman, in which a senior police official has been booked for abetment and trying to destroy evidence.
