American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi leaves the show

After the departure of Simon Cowell and Ellen Degeneres from American Idol, Kara DioGuardi, a singer and music producer, has also confirmed that she is leaving the American Idol in next season. She was a judge in the eighth and ninth seasons of the show.

“I felt like I had won the lottery when I got on American Idol two years ago, but I feel it is the best time to leave the program,” she said in a statement.

She further said that “I am very proud to have participated in the program was indeed an incredible experience. Thanks to Fox, FremantleMedia (creator of the format) and 19 Entertainment (the producers of the program), and the rest of the cast, crew and participants,”

“I am in search of new challenges and want to thank everyone who gave me support and wish everyone a great tenth season,” she said. “I will miss her in the program but hope to work with her in the music business in coming years” DioGuardi said.
