With the strong demand of iPad in US, Apple has decided to postpone the launch of its new tablet worldwide.
In the Apple’s press release, the company said it had “made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May.” It further said that pricing and start to take pre-orders from international customers will start on May 10.
The delay is only for one month. Now arrival time for iPad is set during the month of May. According to Apple, there were over 500 thousand units sold in the U.S. during the first week of the launch which is far greater than actual predictions
The fact that iPad is a device that provides many functions in one unit may be the formula for success. This gadget has a screen of 9.7 inches, a virtual keyboard, lets you browse the internet, play videos, music and most importantly read books on the device.
