Apple promises iPad 3G for May 7

Apple online store states that iPads with 3G connection will be available for sale in US stores on May 07. However, people who have made pre-orders will make receive their devices in late April as promised by Apple.

The iPad version with 3G connection will be offered with exclusive carrier AT&T in the United States, with special data plans for the unit (U.S. $ 14.99 per month for 250 MB and $ 29.99 for unlimited access). The iPad 3G will be priced at $629 (16GB), $729 (32GB) and $829 (64 GB).

According to company, Apple sold over 500 thousand units of iPad with Wi-Fi. The demand was so high in US that Apple decided to delay the launch worldwide. Apple says that Pre-Sale will begin for international consumers on May 10, 2010.
