Silicon Valley Police investigates Lost iPhone 4G incident
According to PC World and other sources, Police have started an investigation about the lost iPhone 4G prototype incident which created headlines around the world last week. According to the reports, a computer crime task force from Santa Clara County is finding any possibility of any criminal action.
Finding an item is not wrong according to the California state law as long as the finder attempts to contact the rightful owner to hand it over. The person who found the iPhone 4G prototype may be safe as reports say that he tried to contact Apple but he didn’t get any satisfied response from them.
The customer representative entertaining his call could not help him other than creating a request ticket. It is believed that he didn’t get that where, how or whom he can handover the device.
The Gizmodo blog which bought the found iPhone 4G prototype for $5,000 may be safe as well. According to the first amendment and past Supreme Court decisions, it is difficult to prosecute press for leaks.
It’s Santa Clara county not country….
