Lost iPhone 4G Prototype case: Attorney identifies iPhone 4G finder

The lawyer of the person who sold the iPhone 4G prototype to tech blog Gizmodo has identified his client on Thursday. The prototype of possibly next version of iPhone created headlines throughout the world.

According to the Reuters, Jeff Bornstein, an attorney who belonged to K&L Gates law firm, said in the email that Brian Hogon, a college student, was in the bar when he found the phone. “Brian asked others near him if the phone belonged to them,” said Jeff Bornstein in the email. The email future states that “When they disclaimed ownership, Brian and his friends left the bar with the phone.”

Hogan later received $5,000 under the impression that he is receiving the amount just to give an access of the phone to the tech blog for review.

“Brian believed — and Gizmodo emphasized to him — that there was nothing wrong in sharing the phone with the tech press,” the lawyer wrote in the email.

So, is everybody too thick to see that this “loss” of the iPhone prototype is nothing other than a clever ploy by Apple to draw attention to its little toy?

Investigators need to take a very thorough look at Apple, its employee and the true circumstances. Leave the boy who found it alone.
