iPad 3G delays Verizon iPhone 4G Release Date: Analyst

BroadPoint AmTech Analyst told ComputerWorld that Verizon iPhone will not hit the U.S market until next year. Analyst said , AT&T has already renewed the exclusive iPhone contract for another six months. This contract will allow AT&T to be the only service provider  carrying iPhone for next six months on the condition that AT&T reduces data plan rates for iPad.

“For that pricing [on the iPad], AT&T was able to negotiate a six-month extension on the iPhone exclusive,” Brian Marshall was quoted as saying by Computer World.

“And they’re pre-paid,” Marshall said while point out to pre-paid data plan for iPad whcih AT&T offers without signing a contract. He thinks that iPad plans came up after the negotiation between Apple and AT&T over iPhone exclusive contract.

On the request of comment on the relationship between AT&T and Apple, AT&T spokesman reportedly said “We don’t comment on the specifics of our relationship.”
