Is Apple releasing Verizon iPhone 4G in 2010?

The balance of power between two leaders in cellular industry has changed with the market gain of Google’s Android Operating System. According to San Francisco Chronicle, Apple now needs Verizon more than Verizon needs Apple.
Only one year ago, Apple was in the strong negotiation position when it was discussing iPhone release on Verizon Wireless. Apple negotiation position has since dropped as Android market share is increasing and more and more people are accepting it as good alternate to Apple’s iPhone, according to the report.
However, iPhone is still considered as a market leader in smart phone industry and has all necessary features to lure Verizon customers from other competing brands. The recent survey indicates that 54 percent of Verizon customers are likely or somewhat likely to buy iPhone if it lands on Verizon Wireless network.
There are many speculations that Apple may release CDMA based iPhone for Verizon on June 7 during the Worldwide Developers conference.
Almost 50% of the Verizon users said they would drop their current phone… and buy an iPhone… is there was a Verizon model.
I switched from Verizon three years ago and I am ony second Iphone which I love
I am very much frustrated with failed and dropped daily calls on Both mine and my wives phone.
I pray that Apple and Verizon will get this done for the June conference. I will drop my phones and move back with Verizon plus pay the early termination fee.
If you think all those Motorola Droid users are going to switch over to the evil empire of apple and their vastly inferior iPhone… you got another thing comin’ . I think the android platform is far superior and less restrictive than apple… I know you’ll have to pry my Droid from my cold dead hands before I’ll ever give it up!
Android all the way. The iPhone isn’t good enough against devices like the Droid, and neither is its locked-off overly control-freak ecosystem.
I have been an ATT customer for about 1.5 years now. I was with Sprint for six years prior to that.. Honestly, I am very happy with the service specially the 3G speed. The service isn’t great all the time but in our area it is better than perfect.
I think one should consider the service within their area and not looking at the entire country. Who cares if ATT has bad service or verizon in the mid-west if you are living in the East Coast like NY, NJ, PA area…
Go with the service that is best in your area.. at the end of the day, you will be spending most of your time there anyways…
I have very few drop calls but I don’t care, I can just redial… so what…
I think if i was asked 3 weeks ago, I would have answered yes to the i-phone on Verizon. Now that I have the HTC incredible, no way I’d switch to an apple.
I gave up on the iPhone along time ago. I’m planning to change from at&t to Verizon because of Android.
I don’t follow the logic. Apple had no leverage when it first tried to negotiate with Verizon on a deal to sell the original iphone in 2007. Despite that lack of leverage, Apple would not bow to Verizons demands, so AT&T inherited the iphone. So now in 2010 Apple has a stunningly successful iphone sold worldwide and you somehow think Apple needs Verizon? I think not. If by some miracle Verizon gets the iphone in 2011 it will be because Verizon capitulated not Apple!
