Floyd Landis admits using drugs in Tour de France

FLoyd Landis confessed for using drugs throughout his career. He reportedly sent an email to Steve Johnson, Executive Director of the American Federation of cycling confessing doping charges and also accused seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong of involvement in doping, the Wall Street Journal ( WSJ) reported.

Landis was stripped of this 2006 Tour de France championship on charges of doping that he always denied of cheating until the confession through email with Cycling officials.

According to WSJ report, Landis began doping in 2002, his first year racing with the U.S. Postal Service team which was led by Armstrong. According to AP, Landis also admitted to doping during an interview with ESPN.com.

No response has since been received from Armstrong who is currently competing in the Tour of California.
