World Cup 2010: Ghana defeats US in close game

In the knock out world cup game, Ghana ousted USA from advancing in the top 8 teams. Both teams were equal with 1-1 goals until the extra time when Ghana scored another goal to steal the game.

However, US played game with so much power but were not able to secure another goal to tie the game against mighty Ghana team which was superb in defense.

The U.S. coach Bob Bradley, said the elimination of his team late in the second round of the World Cup, in match against Ghana, trouble and admitted that the Americans could have played better.

He further said that defeat bothers me however Ghana team consist of really good players and they did their work. But it is disappointed that we could not go further in the tournament – the coach said.

The star US player, Landon Donovan, said that football can be a very cruel game by its alternatives. Some time you are on top and some time you are under the mountain. He lamented.
