Lost iPhone 4G Case: Start to End
Tech blog Gizmodo released the pictures and review video clip of iPhone 4G. Gizmodo received the iPhone 4G prototype from a person who found it on the floor of California bar. The pictures attracted headlines through of the world. The tech blog returned the phone to Apple on the formal request.
California law enforcement officers smashed the door of Gizmodo edior. The officers then seized computers and other electronic devices after they served search warrant to the home owner. Gizmodo published a copy of the search warrant on the website.
Few days later, it was reported that California officials had taken an action on complain of Apple. The California Company had reported the iPhone 4G prototype was stolen (not lost).
The host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, John Steward, criticized the Apple’s way of handling the whole issue. “It wasn’t supposed to be this way–Microsoft was supposed to be the evil one! But you guys are busting down doors in Palo Alto while Commandant Gates is ridding the world of mosquitoes!” John Steward said in his show.
A San Mateo judge rejected a media consortium’s appeal to view the documents used to procure the search warrant used against Gizmodo editor Jason Chen.
