10 million Verizon iPhone 4G ordered: Rumor
Various rumors about Verizon iPhone are coming from different sources. Recent rumor which attracted major news outlets including Fortune Magazine is that Apple has ordered 10 million CDMA based iPhones to Pegatron Technology Corp., a subsidiary of Taiwan’s ASUSTeK Computer. Verizon and Sprint are two major carrier using CDMA technology which is incompatible with the GSM technology used by AT&T and T-Mobile.

The current version of iPhone only works with GSM technology however, Wall Street Journal had reported couple of months ago that Apple was working on iPhone CDMA.
None of the report is confirmed or denied by Apple. Apple is hosting Worldwide Developer’s Conference in San Francisco starting June 7. Some of the questions about Verizon iPhone may be answered during the event where Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs, is expected to release the next version of iPhone or iPhone 4G / HD.
