Will Verizon iPhone 4G pose any threat to AT&T?

While everyone was expecting some update about Verizon iPhone from Verizon Wireless or Apple, The CEO of AT&T indicatApple iPhoneed today that customers are less likely to leave AT&T  for Verizon iPhone.

According to Wired.com, he said during the JP Morgan investors’ conference that 70% of AT&T’s customers are on Family Plans while 40% of subscribers are on Cooperate Plans. He further said  it is difficult for Family Plan subscribers to make transition to  multiple devices. Customers cannot switch company-owned devices while referring to Cooperate Plans, he said.

While he didn’t mention the iPhone for Verizon but some believe that the comment of Ralph de la Vega, The AT&T CEO, was in response to  investor’s worries that AT&T subscribers will move to Verizon Wireless if iPhone is offered to Verizon.

      I think, cooperate customers can also be on Family plan. Well, I will never switch to Verizon. I am happy with AT&T service and customers support.

    Well, if you are happy with AT&T’s service and coverage, then you have never been to San Francisco, or traveled across the country. Verizon beats AT&T hands down in coverage.
