Bing default search engine on new iPhone 4G: Report

It is widely believed that Apple will unveil its new iPhone 4G during the annual Worldwide Developers Conference that is scheduled to begin on June 07.

Apple iPhoneWith new iPhone, there are rumors that Microsoft’s search engine could be the new default choice, replacing Google, according to the report in TechCruch blog.

TechCruch reported that sources close to the Google informed about the deal between Microsoft and Apple for making Bing as a default search option on a new mobile device. However, the blog was not able to confirm the report.

Meanwhile, CNET reported that Apple and Microsoft are in talks to include Bing as an added option but Google will remain as a default search engine.

According to CNET, Google reportedly pays $100 million to Apple to remain as a default search option on its device. Yahoo is an alternative option on the iPhone. Now Microsoft is in talks to be included as an added option or become default search engine replacing Google on the iPhone.

A Microsoft representative did not confirm or deny the report. Its representative said that company does not comment on any rumors or speculations.
