Verizon Motorola Droid 2 to hit U.S. market in August
There are rumors that Verizon will launch Motorola Droid 2 next month. However, the exact release date of the device is not out. Rumors suggest that Droid 2, which is considered as the true successor of original Motorola Droid, will hit the U.S market either on August 12 or on August 23. Droid 2 will be Verizon’s third Droid branded Motorola phone as the network has already introduced Motorola Droid and Motorola Droid X.
Droid 2 has 1GHz microprocessor and 512MB RAM. It is also expected that the device will have 8 mega-pixel camera. Display Size and slide out QWERTY keyboard are two major things which differs Droid 2 from the recently launched Motorola Droid X. Motorola Droid 2 will be the first phone having Android 2.2 (Froyo) as default operating system.
The phone, which will be carried by Verizon, will be available for pre-order early next month. Verizon and Motorola have not officially confirmed any rumors regarding Droid 2 release.
