Toshiba recalls 41,000 laptops due to overheating risk

Toshiba has announced that it will recall of about 41,000 laptop computers worldwide because of the overheating risk plug-in to the AC adapter. According to reports, the overheating can melt the base of the computer which can cause burns.

Recalled models include the Satellite T135, T135D Satellite and Satellite ProT130, Major news source quoted U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission bulletin.

Toshiba SatelliteThe consumer appliances maker, Toshiba, has recommended the owners of affected computers to download and install the latest version of a software program called the BIOS. The software will be able to detect overheating of the computer. The detected devices user will be alerted to contact the manufacturer for repair.

Toshiba has so far received 129 over-heating and deformation complaints about the affected computers. Of these cases, there were two reports of minor burns and two others of minor property damage.
