The unprecedented gathering has seen as to achieve one important goal to discuss how to safeguard, in a period of just four years, the atomic bombs and nuclear material around the planet to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.
Given that experts estimate that by mid 2009, the global stockpile of atomic material world was sufficient to produce 120 thousand bombs, with much of it being unprotected, the task will be difficult.
However, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday that the summit on nuclear Safety organized by the United States is a shame for humanity . The meeting, which is gathered by 47 world leaders, was convened by U.S. President Barack Obama. Iran did not attend the meeting.
