Barak Obama to attend the funeral of Polish President

White House has confirmed that President Barak Obama will attend the funeral of Poland. In a White House Statement:
“On Saturday evening, the President will travel to Krakow, Poland to attend the State Funeral of President Lech Kaczynski and First Lady Maria Kaczynska on Sunday, April 18th. The President will travel to Krakow to express the depth of our condolences to an important and trusted ally, and our support for the Polish people, on behalf of the American people”
Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and 94 other people, including several commanders and political leaders, died in the plane crash in Russian city of Smolensk, on Saturday. Today the Poles received with military honors the body’s first lady, who was identified through DNA yesterday in Moscow and has now been transferred to the presidential palace, where they were already being given their last respects to her husband.
According to AFP, The couple is set to be buried in Wawel Cathedral in Krakow, a day after conducting a national tribute to victims of disaster.
The president of the lower house of parliament who took over as interim head of state, Bronislaw Komorowski, will announce tomorrow the official date of the presidential election early.
