Obama Promises Space Program beyond Moon to Mars

President Barack Obama said on Thursday that research and exploration will remain the main part of American’s futures even if NASA’s objectives are changed for new mission.

"The bottom line is: Nobody is more committed to manned space flight, the human exploration of space, than I am. But we’ve got to do it in a smart way; we can’t keep doing the same old things as before." President Obama was quoted as saying my multiple agencies.

He ensured 200 people gathered at the Kennedy Space Center and other people that NASA will maintain jobs and advance the exploration of the solar system.

The plan of former President George W. Bush looked new manned trips to the moon, but Obama said today that the man has already been there before and that "There’s a lot more of space to explore and a lot more to learn when we do." When Obama announced the termination of the plan.

"By the mid-2030′s, I believe we can send humans to orbit Mars and return them safely to Earth," Obama said
