Kenyan Robert Cheruiyot Kiprono broke the record of winning the Boston Marathon on Monday in just 2 hours 05 minutes and 52 seconds.
The Ethiopians Tekeste Kebede and Derib Merge finished in second and third places, respectively. The best American Ryan Hall was in fourth place.
In the women’s race, an exciting arrival culminated in the victory of Ethiopian Teyba Erkesso with 2 hours 26 minutes and 11 seconds. The second place went to Russian Tatyana Pushkarev, with a time just three seconds slower. The best American was Paige Higgins, in 13th place.
