Another Motorola Droid X ad attacks iPhone 4 with ‘No Jacket Required’
Motorola released yet another advertisement of Droid X attacking iPhone 4. The wireless phone manufacturer doesn’t seem to sit idle and just defend the Apple footage which shows antenna problem in Droid X. The new ad joked free iPhone 4 case by saying that there is ‘No Jacket Required’ for its latest Android phones. Motorola is not the only company making fun of iPhone 4 antenna problem as Nokia started it by saying “Hold it any way you want,” in its blog post entry.
Verizon launched new device on July 15, 2010 which is considered as one of the best devices that can be compared with Apple iPhone 4. The testimony of the success of the device is that it was sold out on the first day of it launched. New Verizon phone became hard to get since the wireless carrier is facing difficulties to meet increasing demand. According to eWeek.com, Droid X will be available again on August 4. Droid X saw few problems related with screen display but the company claimed that it is just a software issue which will be resolved with upcoming update.
In summary, new device from Motorola has Android 2.1 however it will get Android 2.2 or Froyo which the newest version of the operating system from Google. With OS has support the comes with the support of Flash. The smart phone comes with the touch screen of 4.3 inches. The screen size of phone is bigger than that of iPhone 4.
It also has internal memory of 8 GB that is expandable with a memory card of up to 40 GB. It also features an 8 megapixel camera that can shoot high resolution (HD) videos. With an HDMI cable, users can watch video on the TV and computer. The new smartphone is the next version of Droid family which was launched in October 2009. Droid X costs $ 199.99 with $100 rebated and 2 year Verizon service contract. Surfing on the phone is a remarkable experience because of its fast 1-GHZ Texas Instruments processor and 512 MB of RAM.

Micro Processor: Motorola’s Droid X comes with faster processor of 1 GHz. It has double the speed of original Droid which had A8 processor of 550 mHz. The CPU speed of iPhone 4 is now know but some believe that it has also 1 GHz.
RAM: Both Motorola Droid X and iPhone 4 have built-in 512MB RAM. The RAM size is sufficient for any smart-phone.
Operating System: The Motorola device has Android 2.1 installed by default. Verizon is expected to update the phone with the latest Google Android 2.2. Froyo has many new features including voice dialing over Bluetooth and Flash 10. On the other hand , iPhone 4 has IOS 4 (formerly iPhone OS 4.0) as default operating system. IOS 4 comes with video calling support, multi-tasking, folders support, combined inbox and many other new features. Original Droid supports up to Android 2.1.
Video Recording Features: Both Motorola Droid X and iPhone 4 support 720p video recording. iPhone 4 can record up to 30 frames per second and the Apple has built-in Video editing features in the new iPhone. Apple phone and Motorola phone matched the video recording quality with HTC EVO 4G.
Size: Droid X is 5.0 inches in height, 2.6 inches wide, 0.4 inches thick whereas iPhone 4 size is 4.5×2.3×0.37. Droid X has biggest screen but iPhone 4 is slimmer. Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G is 4.8 inches in height, 2.6 inches wide, 0.5 inches thick.
Camera: Droid X wins in terms of the photo capturing as it has 8MP camera as compared to 5MP in iPhone 4. HTC EVO 4G also has 8-megapixel primary camera.
Adobe Flash 10: Most remarkable features which Droid X (Android 2.2 FroYo) will bring is the support Flash 10. Apple doesn’t seem to interested in the software.
