Motorola Droid 2 to replace Motorola Droid in August
Motorola is planning the end the production of Motorola Droid just before the expected release of Droid 2. There is no doubt Motorola Droid was one of the most successful smart-phones on Android platform regardless of high-profile launches of Google Nexus One, HTC MyTouch. According to numbers released by Verizon, about 250,000 units of the device were sold in the first week of its launch.
Just as every product has its life, Motorola Droid will be the history after the release of Droid 2. Motorola Droid 2 is the real successor of the phone. The second version of the device has already created a lot of buzz with regards to its release date. The rumors are suggesting the Droid 2 will be released some time in August.
Verizon or Motorola has not official announced the release of the phone, however Droid 2 in leaked Verizon Summer Catalog confirmed that phone is coming soon.
Meanwhile, Verizon keeps attacking Apple iPhone 4. The latest advertisement of Droid X laughed on the Apple phone by saying that there is “No Jacket required” for the recently released Droid X.
