Apple to ship iPads within 24 hours of online order

Apple is finally catching up to the demand of its iPad.  After 170 days of the launch, Apple is now feeling comfortable to complete orders for iPads in one day.  Apple announced that it will  now start  shipping iPads in 24 hours after online order is placed.

Prior to the announcement, Consumers had to wait for five days before device was shipped to them.

After the one week of launch of iPad, company was faced with increasing demand that resulted in backlogs for weeks to ship the product to the customer.  Order placed today will be shipped in 24 hours like other apple products except the iPhone 4.  Apple takes about three to four weeks to complete the iPhone order.

During three months of release, Apple reportedly sold more than three million iPads which was kind of unexpected and was the primary reason for the company to delay launch dates in other countries to keep up the huge demand.
