Apple’s Ping reaches 1 million users in 48 hours

Apple announced Ping, social network, last week and now the news is out that it has reached million users in the 48 hours of its launch. According to the Apple, the third of 10 people who downloaded iTunes entered in the network.

The network allows users to share pictures and video from their favorite artists and also receive updates about the upcoming shows.

Ping can be downloaded on the iTunes and will also let users to discuss with friends about Music.
The company expects that user base will continue to grow in near future. There are about 160 million users and many of them are yet to join the network.

Comparatively, Facebook, social networking site, has about 500 million users.
